A small IT company that does the whole job.

Cedar Rock IT is based in Greenville, South Carolina. We started because too many small businesses were stuck between a cabling contractor, a software vendor, an internet provider, and a computer guy, with nobody owning the outcome.

How we work

We own the whole stack: the cable in the wall, the network, the servers and cloud, the phones, the point-of-sale system, and the security around all of it. When something breaks, we don't hand you off.

We explain things the way we'd want them explained to us. You'll know what's protected, what isn't, and what it would cost to change that.

We show up. Remote fixes solve most problems, but we're an hour or less from anywhere in the Upstate when hands are needed.

Partners and tools

Microsoft 365, Sophos firewalls, Ubiquiti UniFi networking, Starlink, Paladin Point of Sale, and a managed security stack we'll walk you through on request.

Meet the team

Owner-led and local. The person who scopes your project is the same person who answers when you call.

Nathan Babcock

Owner 18 years of experience

Nathan has loved technology for as long as he can remember, and he loves a hard problem even more. He started Cedar Rock IT so small businesses would have one person who owns the whole job. Eighteen years of hands-on cabling, networking, and Windows administration means he has usually seen your problem before. Part of that time was spent overseas in Ghana, Myanmar, India, Chad, and Thailand, supporting Bible translation teams and ministries in places with unreliable power, thin internet, and no vendor to call. Explaining complex IT across a language barrier taught him to make things clear to anyone, which is how he still talks to clients today.

William Black

Technical Support Specialist First point of contact

William is the first call for most of our clients. He fixes the everyday problems that slow a workday down, from locked accounts and printers to email and Microsoft 365, and explains what went wrong in plain language. When an issue needs more than a quick fix, he owns the ticket through escalation until it is fully resolved.
